Yellow card

A yellow card is a caution for unsporting or reckless conduct; two cautions in the same match usually mean the player is sent off.

The referee shows a yellow card to warn a player or, in some cases, a team official. Common reasons include reckless challenges, dissent, delaying the restart, or persistent infringement of the laws.

Team A's full-back slides in late on Team B's winger. The referee whistles for the foul and shows a yellow card for the reckless tackle.
