Goal kick

A goal kick is awarded when the attacking team last touches the ball over the defending team's goal line without scoring.

The defending team restarts from anywhere inside the goal area. The ball is in play once it is kicked and clearly moves; it must leave the penalty area before another player may touch it.

Team A's shot drifts wide after Team A touched it last. Team B's goalkeeper places the ball in the goal area and passes short to a centre-back once teammates have stepped outside the penalty area.
