How football match statistics work
Match statistics are a structured summary of events and actions during ninety minutes (plus stoppage time). They help you see whether a result matched the balance of play or if a team won despite fewer chances—and on Barxad you will find them next to live and finished games for deeper context.
Typical match feeds track passes, shots, corners, fouls, cards, and duels won. Each figure comes from defined events: a shot is registered when an attempt is made toward goal, subject to the data provider’s rules for blocks and deflections.
Possession percentage estimates how long each team held the ball. It is useful for mood and rhythm but not a standalone score of who was “better.” Low-possession sides often allow the ball deliberately and attack in transitions.
